The movie is based on a marriage going wrong because of insecurity and jealousy of husband.

Prem Mayee is a low budget movie, starring not too big names.

The movie is the story of an aspiring IAS, Payal (Shreya Narayan), who is ambitious and intelligent girl. She also manages to achieve success in her career with her hardwork and falls in love with Arun (Chandrachur Singh). Soon the two get married.

Insecurity and jealousy create certain circumstances, due to which they face various problems in marriage, leaving the two wonder whether they have made the right decision to marry. Payal feels depressed and confused with her life. Facing issues in her career as well, she blames herself for all the problems. Payal considers that she is incapable of making her husband happy.

Meanwhile, her co-worker, Nirvaan (Sanjay Suri) makes an entry in her life and she gets her confidence back.

After watching the movie you will realize that love can bring the best and the worst in all of us.
